re:Centre is centred on creativity and sustainability.

We showcase artists and makers who make treasures of our trash. We scour the county for quality rubbish, skip rats with a purpose—to get interesting and usable scrap into your hands. We run workshops that help you reconnect to your creativity. We help small businesses with sustainability at their core better market their goods. And we host social crafting events where you can spend time creating, relaxing and connecting.

Our Aims

Our aim is to inspire the community to see upcycling as a potential for transformation

  • Through mending and repairing everyday items – like clothing, bikes, and homewares
  • To think creatively about solutions to our current problems, using “waste material” as a resource
  • To help local manufacturers and businesses to divert clean waste from landfills by diverting to artistic endeavours
  • To build a community of makers and artists who share their passion and creativity through events and  workshops

Workshops

We'll be running workshops throughout the year focusing on creativity and upcycling. If you are an artist or maker with the chops to teach and a penchant for upcycling, contact us

Special Events

Ever fancy an upcycling challenge? how about learn the process it took to develop a product? how about an artists perspective of using waste to make something gallery-worthy? We're working on bringing special events to you!

Become a Sponsor and Divert Waste from Landfills

If you have clean waste from your manufacturing or business process, we’d like it to land in the hands of creative folk who could use it in crafting and art projects.

Business Development

We’re here to help small businesses and non-profits with our years of business management, marketing and advertising know-how, we help tell their story.

Donations

We've already had a lot of contacts about donations, which is great! While we want to keep as much from the landfill as possible, but we also recognise we cannot take everything that comes our way. At this point we're taking specific items that we're actively seeking; fabric/sewing destashes, craft supplies; tools (scissors, knitting/ crochet needles, sewing needles, etc) and machinery (sewing machines, hot glue guns, etc).

Please contact us via email to arrange your donation.
